New Romney Country Fayre
This annual event in New Romney will next be held on Saturday 29 July 2017, celebrating the 22 years of the Fayre.
The New Romney Country Fayre is held on St Martin's Field and the Fairfield Road Recreation Ground in New Romney, which is just off the High Street. The fayre is the largest free event on Romney Marsh, attracting over 7,000 visitors from all over the south east of England. With varied entertainment in two arenas and over 130 stalls, there is something for everyone.

The original Committee was formed in 1994 with the first Fayre taking place the following year and since then it has grown into a massive event and has helped to raise hundreds of thousands of pounds for local organisations and charities who take part.
The day will start as usual with a noisy and colourful parade through the High Street, finishing at St Martin's Field where the Official Opening of the Fayre will take place, along with the presentation of prizes for best parade entries.
For visitors traveling to the Fayre please use the following Post Code for your Sat Nav TN28 8AT You will arrive at the High Street and the field used for the Fayre is behind the shops in a northerly direction. As well as free entry to the Fayre a free car park is provided in Ashford Road.
In 2016 we will again be working in partnership with the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway to run special trains on Country Fayre Day to arrive in New Romney in time to watch the Parade.
The Official Opening will take place at 11.15am. Arena Entertainment will run from 11.30am in the St Martin's Field Arena and 11.45am in the Recreation Ground Arena and will go on until 5.00pm.
