JAM on the Marsh: Bach Cello Suites

http://www.jamconcert.org/event/bach-cello-suites-tour-2-churches/

This is a rare opportunity to hear all six of Bach’s wonderful Cello Suites in one day. The day starts at St Georges Church, Ivychurch where Anita Strevens will play three of the Suites, interspersed by fascinating talks about the church by the Romney Marsh Historic Churches Trust.  After this performance the audience will take the Festival Bus to The Star Inn, St Mary in the Marsh for lunch. After this refuelling the remaining Suites will be performed in St Mary the Virgin Church, across the road from The Star, again with fascinating insights into the church. After this second concert the bus will take the audience back to their cars at Ivychurch. This is an extraordinary opportunity to hear some of the greatest music ever written for Cello, in two iconic churches, in one day.
