There are, and have been, many historic pubs on Romney Marsh, ranging from old village inns that have hardly changed over the years to more modern pubs. All have histories, some with stories of smuggling and the like and all those still open offer a warm welcome, with most serving food and some having accommodation.
This page provides a complete index of pubs that exist or have existed on Romney Marsh. The total number we have identified to date is 50, of which 26 are now lost and some with no information other than they were known to exist.
